Für richtungweisende Verdienste um das deutsche eGovernment und den IT-Standort Deutschland verlieh der IT-Beauftragte der Bayerischen Staatsregierung, Finanzstaatssekretär Franz Josef Pschierer, den eGovernment-Leadership-Award 2011 an Martin Schallbruch, den IT-Direktor im Bundesministerium des Innern. Pschierer, der im vergangenen Jahr selbst den Leadership-Award erhielt, hob in seiner Laudatio vor allem Schallbruchs Verdienste im länderübergreifenden eGovernment hervor. 

„Mit Ihrem Engagement zur Verankerung der IT-Kooperation im Grundgesetz haben Sie einen historischen Meilenstein gesetzt: Nun hat IT in Deutschland Verfassungsrang!“, würdigte Pschierer bei der Preisverleihung im Rahmen des eGovernment-Summit am Donnerstag (17.11.) auf dem Bonner Petersberg. Zum 4. Mal trafen sich hier hochkarätige Entscheider auf Bund-/Länderebene unter dem Motto „Von eGovernment zu Open Government - von offenen Standards zur offenen Staatskunst“. Neben Vorträgen und Diskussionsrunden war die Verleihung von eGovernment-Preisen Höhepunkt der Veranstaltung. 

Pschierer verlieh auch den Sonderpreis „eGovernment-Innovations-Award“ an den Projektleiter zur Einführung des neuen Personalausweises, Andreas Reisen vom Bundesinnenministerium. „Mit dem neuen Personalausweis ist Ihnen ein High-Tech-Exportschlager ‚Made in Germany’ gelungen!“, lobte Pschierer den Projektleiter des Bundes. Seit der Einführung des neuen Personalausweises im November 2010 wurden in rund 5.300 Behörden mehr als neun Millionen Ausweisexemplare ausgestellt und die fälschungssichere Technologie in über 70 Länder transferiert. Ein besonders zukunftsweisendes Merkmal des neuen Ausweises ist die elektronische Identitätsfunktion, mit der jedermann eine zuverlässige Authentifizierung für Online-Dienste der Verwaltung und der Wirtschaft ermöglicht wird. Die Sicherheit von Internetgeschäften wird dadurch maßgeblich erhöht.
